I got the Kinect with the Xbox 250GB slim and only later realized that I would need this to connect to my PC and hack. It works well, but is a bit too pricey for my liking and hence the four-star. Also, the power adapter is long and prevents connecting to the next two power plugs (especially if you are using this in a power strip). – John
